It is hoped that this will help with his recovery long-term and allow him to play drums more comfortably, however, the band will not be rehearsing for the immediate period while he recovers.
LIAMโS LISTENING ROOM – 22/4/25
The song in question is Cryptopsy - โUntil Thereโs Nothing Leftโ. Jesus f+#~$g Christ, this song is heavy. Obviously, if you know Suffocation, you likely know Cryptopsy, and theyโre probably more responsible for the tech-death sound as we know it, โNone So Vileโ being the prime example.
LIAMโS LISTENING ROOM – 14/4/25
Hey, after a brief hiatus, Iโm back with another listening room post! I didnโt intend to be away for as long as I was, but oh well, Iโm here now. As per usual, Iโll go through my favourite new releases that Iโve been listening to recently, as well as my general listening habits in and out of the metal world. This one will be a little different though, instead of going through releases that were from the last week, like I did previously,y Iโm going to go through my favourite release since the last time I did this. So without further ado, here is my favourite release of the past few weeks.
LIAMโS LISTENING ROOM – 25/3/25
My pick of the week was pretty easy this time round. The new Warbringer was the only album that really came close to topping it but Iโve gravitated back to this album so much more often. Iโve been a fan of this side project from Haken guitarist Charlie Griffiths since the debut album was released back in 2022.
LIAMโS LISTENING ROOM – 14/3/25
There were a few solid releases that came out this past week, but the biggest standout for me was Whitechapelโs latest offering, โHymns in Dissonanceโ. I am not a Deathcore fan, and I am extremely picky when it comes to what I consider to be good Deathcore.
LIAM’S LISTENING ROOM [7/3/2025]
Hi all, and welcome to my listening room, a (potentially/hopefully) weekly column on what my listening habits have been throughout the week and hopefully a good way to direct our viewers to what I think is the best new music around, as well as maybe some other bands that might have been missed by some. This wasnโt my idea to do, but as someone who loves discovering, learning and listening to new things I feel this is a perfect outlet for me to talk about the stuff I love, mainly because whenever I try to speak passionately about the music I love, aside from a specific few people, my passion goes straight over their heads and I end up feeling like a plum!
