KAINE TO SUPPORT RIOT ACT FIRE DOWN UNDER 2023 TOUR IN ENGLAND

Kaine are pleased to announce their second tour of 2023, having recently returned from supporting W.A.S.P guitar legend Chris Holmes and his Mean Man band on his 65 Tour of the UK just this week.

Riot guitar legend Rick Ventura will be bringing his band Riot Act back to England for a short run of shows to warm up for British Steel Festival in France on October 7th. Riot Act will be playing the critically acclaimed classic Riot album FIRE DOWN UNDER in full and other classic Riot tunes.

Kaine will be joining them as the main support throughout the tour, having met the band on their previous UK Tour where they both toured alongside Lillian Axe.

Tickets will be available from the venue’s box offices and are on sale now from www.firedownundertour.co.uk – all tickets will be £8 in advance and £10 on the door. These are very limited, so book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Rick Ventura was a member of the classic Riot line-up that recorded the legendary albums Narita (1979), Fire Down Under (1981), Restless Breed (1982), and Born In America (1983). He also appeared on the Riot Live (1989) live album. Fire Down Under is considered the ultimate Riot album, having made the Billboard 200 on its original release. 

Riot Act released their debut double album Closer to the Flame (Global Rock Records) in 2022 which features both original material and re-recordings of Riot classics. The band then joined Lillian Axe on their U.K Tour in 2022 to promote the album, alongside the English Heavy Metal band Kaine. 

This will be a rare opportunity for classic Rock/Metal fans to see Rick perform the FIRE DOWN UNDER album in full and all the other legendary Riot tunes from the 1980s.

CHRIS HOLMES – MEAN MAN TOUR A SUCCESS – MERCH SOLD OUT AND TOUR IN PROFIT!

We are now home from our tour supporting the legendary Chris Holmes and his Mean Man band. We had a fantastic time, it was great to play both South and North Wales, Scotland, the Northeast of England, West Anglia, London, and the Northwest of England on the run. We appreciate everyone who came out and supported the shows, as well as those of you who took the time to watch us play.


We are happy to report that due to exceptionally tight budgeting on our end, combined with merchandise sales and performance fees, we have made a profit on this tour, and the first profit we have ever made from touring in Kaine! We sold out of all our tour t-shirts, as well as Reforge The Steel t-shirts, and a check of the Second Coming designs, leaving our stocks depleted. Out of the CDs we took on tour, we only had one copy of our album After Extinction left after the run. We have also had requests for orders come through since yesterday from people who had seen us live wanting to purchase more items.


Finally, we thank SD Entertainment for arranging us as the support for this tour, Chris and Sarah Holmes for their support and guidance, and of course the other members of the Mean Man band, Florian, Chuck, and Steve all of whom were brilliant players and people to be around. Also we would like to thank Alex Smith (our everything guy) and Charles Franklin (our tech) for all their hard work during this tour, which made our lives so much easier. We couldn’t operate without these guys.

FINAL TOUR REHEARSALS TODAY + BAD NEWS ON TOUR SHIRTS

Today we have our final rehearsal before we tour with Chris Holmes next week. We will again be focusing on the tour set and being at our absolute best for the shows. The tour begins on Friday, at The Patriot, Crumlin in South Wales on Friday. You can still buy tickets for the tour here.

We’ve had some bad luck in the run-up to the tour. The tour shirts we had printed have been delivered to an unknown location and we are desperately trying to recover them, in order to send the pre-orders out before the tour begins on Friday and ensure we had shirts to sell on the road to help us cover the costs of touring.

We’ll know if they can be recovered at all tomorrow, if not there will be a rush on to get them reprinted and out before Thursday. This has been an absolute nightmare to deal with.

KAINE TOUR PREPARATIONS BEGIN TODAY

We will begin our tour rehearsals today at Unit One, Colchester. We will be putting together the set list for the tour today and look to get ourselves in the best possible playing shape for the run of gigs. On Friday we played our very last local show before heading out on tour.

We will be supporting Chris Holmes on this forthcoming tour. Chris is famous for being the original guitar player in W.A.S.P and played on all their classic albums. On Friday, our sold-out show at Three Wise Monkeys, Colchester was a huge success. We celebrated 5 years of the “Reforged” line-up of Kaine with support from our friends in Heathen Kings, Killerkorp, and Osmium Guillotine. It was great to finally play the new Three Wise Monkeys and the positive feedback about the event has been incredible. Our set was recorded for a brand-new live album and video footage was taken of the gig by Talon Payne of Gallow Wood Media.

FINAL REHEARSAL BEFORE COLCHESTER SHOW – LAST ESSEX SHOW BEFORE UK TOUR

Last weeks rehearsals

We are back at Unit One Studios, Colchester for our final rehearsal before our 5-year celebration gig next week at Three Wise Monkeys, Colchester. We will be recording the set for a live album/video release with Talon Payne of Gallow Wood Media. The set will be a mixture of songs from After Extinction and Reforge The Steel. Joining us are Osmium Guillotine, Heathen Kings, and Killerkorp.

75% of the tickets for the night have been sold in advance with 45 tickets still available to purchase from here.  This gig is our final local show before we go on tour in support of W.A.S.P guitarist Chris Holmes.

We are pleased to announce that we have sold 63% of the tickets for our May 19th show at Three Wise Monkeys in advance, which is over 100 tickets sold with roughly 70 still available to purchase.

We will be back in Unit One tonight to continue to build our set for the show, which will be recorded for a brand-new live album with Talon Payne of Gallow Wood Media, and an accompanying video. Last weeks preparations for the show

We are pleased to announce that we have sold over 100 tickets for May 19th, 2023, at Three Wise Monkeys, Colchester. These sales take us to just under 60% of the total capacity weeks ahead of the show. Thank you for supporting this event.

We will be recording a new live album on the night, which has been put together to celebrate the 5-year anniversary of the current Kaine line-up coming together. Playing the night alongside us will be Heathen Kings, Killerkorp and Osmium Guillotine.

There will be a special one off t-shirt for the gig (above) which will be limited to just 50 shirts. We will be back at Unit One, Colchester for rehearsals tonight to prepare for May 19th.

PREPARATIONS FOR THREE WISE MONKEYS GIG BEGIN AT UNIT ONE, COLCHESTER TONIGHT!

Kaine will be celebrating 5 years of the Reforged line-up with a special gig, and live album recording at Three Wise Monkeys, Colchester on Friday, May 19th, 2023. Joining them will be guests Osmium Guillotine, Killerkorp, and Heathen Kings.

The current incarnations of Kaine formed in May 2018, and have since released two studio albums Reforge The Steel (2019) and After Extinction (2022) as well as the Extinction After EP (2023), Kaine EP (2021), Falling Through Freedom X EP (2022), The Waystone EP (2020) and two live albums. The band has headlined Colchester Arts Centre, opened Burrfest at a sold-out Dome in Tufnell Park as well as toured the UK in support of the legendary Lillian Axe and Riot Act in 2022. Recently the band supported NWOBHM legends Trespass and Cher/Whitesnake Guitarist Joel Hoekstra alongside Brandon Gibbs of Devil City Angels and Poison fame.

This week’s rehearsals at Unit One will be purely in preparation for May 19th. The band plans on debuting some new tracks for the event, which will be recorded for a new live album by Talon Payne of Gallow Wood Studios.

TRESPASS SUPPORT GIG A HUGE SUCCESS! PREPARATIONS FOR JOEL HOEKSTRA/BRANDON GIBBS GIG TODAY AT UNIT ONE

Last nights gig supporting Trespass at the Quay Theatre, Sudbury was a huge success. We would like to thank both the Quay Theatre and Trespass for having us on, and treating us incredibly well throughout the night.

Next week we are back supporting yet more legends, this time it’s Whitesnake guitarist Joel Hoekstra and Brandon Gibbs Music (Devil City Angels) live at The Music Room – Ipswich on April 15th, 2023. The Hoekstra/Gibbs duo is considered by many to be one of the best acoustic duos performing today. Expect a high energy show with blazing guitar riffs, storytelling, incredible vocal harmonies and a song selection of music from bands they have each been a part of, originals and rock covers making this a must-see show!
