TOUR FLYERS AND LETTERS TO BE SENT OUT THIS WEEK

I will be writing to everyone on our mailing lists, past and present, with information regarding our August tour and inviting everyone to the shows. The reason I am doing this is social media tends to hide our events and announcements from timelines and, much like with our Arts Centre show a few years back, we hope that more people will see the dates via mail than online and that will increase the overall turnout.

This is the biggest tour we have done since 2014 and the first with this line-up. We will be takings this opportunity to have a “soft” relaunch of our album Reforge The Steel which we were previously restricted from promoting due to COVID-19 lockdowns.

KAINE RETURN TO UNIT ONE FOR REHEARSALS TONIGHT

We will be returning to Unit One today to resume our regular rehearsals after a break recording the start of our new EP. Today’s focus will be the set for the forthcoming gigs in March which are:

  • March 4th, 2022 – Club 85, Hitchin
  • March 9th, 2022 – CODA, Colchester
  • March 18th, 2022 – Portland Arms, Cambridge
  • March 19th, 2022 – The Carlisle, Hastings
  • March 26th, 2022 – The Rock Den, Hatfield
  • April 22nd, 2022 – Tap N Tumbler, Nottingham

Tickets are still available for all these dates here.

We will be deciding the sets for these shows and prepare for gigging again after not playing live since the end of 2021. This was due to uncertainties regarding Covid restrictions going forward. England however has returned to limited restrictions which means gigs can go ahead once more without any COVID measures in place beyond the Governments basic guidelines.

KAINE FINISH WORKING FOR 2021 – NEW ALBUM AND EP WILL RELEASE IN 2022 DEPENDING ON COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS IN THE UK

Kaine finished up for 2021 with EP sessions at Unit One yesterday, as well as beginning to write a brand new song for a future album. The band will resume the remaining recording and production for the new album in 2022, as well as begin to record the new EP. The album and EP have both been delayed due to Covid-19 Restrictions throughout 2020 and 2021.

The band has been alerted to further restrictions being implemented by the UK Government soon which may restrict the band’s work in early 2022. The band is also reviewing the situation regarding their 2022 bookings whether or not to go ahead due to the risk of cancellations due to the recent dual Covid-19 epidemic of the Delta and Omicron variants currently impacting the UK.

COALVILLE SHOW GOING AHEAD – SHOW MOVES TO OUTDOOR STAGE AT THE VICTORIA

Today it was confirmed that the July 9th gig at The Victoria, in Coalville will be going ahead. Due to high demand for the event, the gig will move to the outdoor stage.

There will be an update on the Coda gig in the coming days.

NEW ALBUM RECORDING RESUMES THIS WEEK – KAINE’S JULY DATES AT RISK OF POSTPONEMENT AS UK LOCKDOWN IS EXPECTED TO EXTEND TO JULY 19TH 2021

Rage Sadler and Isaac Healy will begin tracking the rhythm guitars and bass for the new album at Unit One, Colchester on the 15th and 16th of June. The band will also be at Unit One today for weekly rehearsals.

Kaine’s upcoming gigs are likely to be postponed as the Government appears to be looking to extend the lockdown ending date to around July 19th. This will mean the bands shows at Coalville on July 9th and Colchester on July 14th will likely not go ahead. Kaine’s June date in Swansea was also cancelled by the Welsh Government due to Covid-19 infection rates beginning to rise again.
