LONDON SHOW A SUCCESS + HEALTH UPDATE

Kaine’s performance, supporting NWOBHM legends Desolation Angels, was a success on Saturday night. The event took place at the Cart & Horses (birthplace of Iron Maiden) and was well-attended, despite going up against Manowar on the same night. The feedback from those in attendance has been incredibly positive for both bands. It proves that NWOBHM still has a real and thriving scene in the UK and London.

KAINE RETURNS TO REHEARSALS AND RESUMES WORK ON NEXT STUDIO RELEASE

The band is already preparing for two shows later this year, the first supporting NWOBHM legends Desolation Angels at the Cart & Horses, London (birthplace of Iron Maiden) on July 19th, and the second a festival slot in North Essex in August which is yet to be formally announced. For both shows, Kaine will be playing a full-on NWOTHM set with songs taken from all of their albums, Falling Through Freedom (2012), The Waystone (2014), A Crisis of Faith (2018), Reforge The Steel (2019) as well as 2022’s After Extinction.

KAINE TO SUPPORT NWOBHM LEGENDS AT THE BIRTHPLACE OF IRON MAIDEN

Desolation Angels were formed in 1981 by guitarist Keith Sharp, releasing their demos in 1981 and 1982. The band's self-titled debut album was released in 1986 (re-released in 2019 by Dissonance Productions), with Desolation Angels moving to America (Los Angeles, California) in 1987, releasing their follow-up album While The Flame Still Burns in 1990. The current incarnation of Desolation Angels features an all-star line-up of some of the best British and NWOBHM-era performers in Clive Pearson, Chris Takka, Paul Taylor & Richie Yeates.

KAINE GEARS UP FOR MEARFEST FLAME 2023

Mearfest Flame not only features us, but bands you may know, another East Anglian band called Hedra who are based out of Norwich, you have another band from the new era called Chemikill, General Jack who are new to us, NWOBHM legends in Quartz, Troyen, and Desolation Angels as well as Stormchild who were originally formed in 1979. The Queens Hall is a fantastic venue, we played there twice back in the day in 2011 and 2013, as well as playing the second stage there (the Crew) more recently with Kev Riddles Baphomet in 2022. This will be our only show before the Fire Down Under Tour with Riot Act, and our last midlands show for 2023, so we hope to see you there.
