We are back in Unit One Studios today to continue work on the Crisis Averted EP. We are now close to being able to record the new EP, which will be a CD exclusive release for Patreon subscribers £3 and up and will now feature 5 tracks from the original A Crisis of Faith album.
We resume our sessions working on the Crisis Averted EP today. The EP will be a Patreon-only release on CD, featuring re-recordings of songs from the A Crisis of Faith album, which is now five years old. This was the last album released by Kaine to feature a different line-up; most of the shows, after this album was released in 2018, were performed by the current line-up. You can see us working on the EP above, and you can grab your copy by joining Patreon for £3 or more here.
All t-shirts and CDs for the 2022 pack have now been sent out. The patches have been printed and will be sent our ASAP. Once these have been sent out, we’ll announce our 2023 package. This will be a new shirt design, new patch, and new CD release.
Band backers will also receive two additional shirts, the Second Coming shirt, and the Extinction England shirts. If Band backers have already ordered these shirts, we will offer a selection of made to order designs for you to select from instead. You can join the band backer tier here. Band Backers will also received the new live album for free, or if they have already ordered an equivalent release they do not own.
We have lost 41 Patreon’s in recent weeks, which is an equivalent of £1,476 a year (lowest tier) income for the band. We understand that packs have been slow getting out, but we had two unexpected tours this year (which Patreon helped fund), and it takes a while for us to get designs made, shirts printed, and music recorded and mixed. If you have cancelled your membership, we ask you to reconsider and re-join us by clicking here.
Every penny goes back into the band and helps us continue, we have no label support, no management and we are entirely self-funded. Rehearsals alone cost £36 (plus fuel) a week, gigs are largely petrol money only and we rely purely on merch sales to continue to afford to play live.
Our bottom tier costs just £3 a month.
In terms of the Patreon packages for 2021 (CDs) and 2022 (CDs, Shirts, and Patches) we are still waiting on everything to be sent back to us from the printers and are chasing up a few people on shirt sizes. We appreciate this is taking a long time to come through and we can only apologise for the delays, but much of this has been totally out of our hands.
We do have a 2023 Patreon package to announce, which we are delaying until all 2021 and 2022 orders are fulfilled in full. Band-backers will also get the limited edition Second Coming shirt later this year.
We are pleased to report that our Patreon is just 3 backers away from breaking 100! We hope to break 100 in 2023, as we will launch our 2023 Patreon package soon. You can back Kaine via Patreon by clicking here.
We are in the process of printing the 21’ EP and the Falling Through Freedom anniversary set, t-shirt, and patch. Patreon’s paying £1 will receive the shirt/patch and those paying £3 and more will get the CDs. These will be limited to however many subscribers we have and will not be printed again.
You can hear both EPs via streaming platforms by clicking here.
We have launched our new EP, Extinction After with two new songs today, Evil I and Evil II. These are two brand new tracks not featured on our album After Extinction. The CD release will be available to Patreons paying £3 and up, which will be sent outside our multi-disc Falling Through Freedom package, a new shirt, and a patch very soon. You can still grab all this merch for just £3 here.
We have further evolved our band’s sound to a darker, thrashier, and heavier tone than our previous releases. Please click the play icons above and below to hear the tracks. The EP will be coming to streaming services at a later date.
We are back at Unit One Studios for the first time in 2023 today. We will be having a refresh session as well as working on our set for our gig at the Hot Box in Chelmsford on January 19th. You can buy tickets in advance from here and Band Backer Patreon’s can attend the gig for free by clicking here. The footage of today’s session will be uploaded onto YouTube next week.
Mixing and editing has been completed for the Extinction After EP. This EP includes 5 brand new songs, not on our most recent album, and was recorded by Wayne Thompson at Unit One Studio’s last year.
Once the final tracks go back, both Patreon CD releases will go to the printers alongside the Falling Through Freedom 10th anniversary patch and t-shirt. We are sorry about the delay. Once this is completed an announcement for the 2023 Patreon pack will be made, and this will be a very special release.
For those Patreon’s paying for the band-backer tier, we will reimburse the price of any tickets for our gig later this month at Hot Box, Chelmsford (January 19th at 7pm).
If you have purchased tickets for the event in advance, please send the email proof of purchase to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will refund you the cost of all tickets (including those for friends) purchased for the event after the show takes place. If you purchase a ticket on the door, please come and see us on the night to have the reimbursement arranged.
