We will be back in Unit One today rehearsing for the forthcoming show at The Smokehouse, Ipswich on May 13th (Friday). We will be playing alongside Heathen Kings and Screaming Veridian with the doors 7pm. Tickets are available on the door. More event information can be found here.
We will be in Unit One Studio’s today to work both on the 22′ EP for Patreon and to prepare for our Ipswich show on May 13th. Uridium have had to pull out of the support slot for the Ipswich show due to singer Phil Cooke having a serious health issue. We wish Phil a speedy recovery and send our thoughts to his friends and family at this time. Replacing Uridium will be Screaming Viridian.
Last week we made good progress with two of the 22′ EP songs in rehearsals taking us up to 3 of the 5 learnt already. We rehearsed the new EP immediately after recording guitars for the 21′ EP which can be seen below.

We will be returning to Ipswich in May alongside Heathen Kings and Uridium at The Smokehouse next month on May 13th. The band has played alongside Uridium before at the B2, Norwich however this is the first time they will be playing alongside Heathen Kings, although they have gigged with Andy Clarke and Alex Body as Habu, and Andy also formerly fronted the band Atorc. The Smokehouse is a popular venue amongst the Ipswich scene and we are looking forward to playing there again next month. Tickets will only be available on the door. More information here.
Kaine have another busy weekend ahead as they take to the road to play Ipswich tonight at The Smokehouse. Tickets are available at the door from 7:30pm where Kaine and Virgin Witch will be supporting Planet Fatale.
On Sunday the band will be heading to Gallow Wood Media in Margaret Roding to track vocals for the new album, before heading over to Unit One in Colchester for further rehearsals of the new album and EP.

Kaine will be preparing for The Smokehouse gig in Ipswich at Unit One today. Unfortunately due to a work related injury to his hand, Isaac will not be rehearsing with the band today. The Smokehouse is a live music venue based at South Street Studios in Ipswich, Suffolk. Bridging the gap between local pubs and 100+ capacity performance spaces, the venue plays host to national and regional artists.
Kaine will be dedicating this weeks rehearsals at Unit One to preparing for Switchfest. Switchfest will be taking place next Saturday at The Music Room, Ipswich starting at 2pm. Last weekend, while drummer Liam Etheridge was away at Bloodstock, the band demoed 5 studio scratch tracks for the Patreon EP. The CD will be exclusive to Patreon members and can be ordered from here.
As announced this week, Kaine will be playing Switchfest on August 28th at the Music Room, Ipswich. This weeks rehearsal session will be focussed on getting the set ready for that gig alongside yet more work on the new album. You can attend Switchfest by clicking here.
As announced today by Deadsoul Promotions, Kaine will be playing Switchfest later this month. Switchfest will take place at The Music Room, Ipswich from 2pm on the 28th. You can attend the event by clicking here. The Music Room is a 450 capacity grassroots music venue in Ipswich, Suffolk that has been booking touring bands since the early 2000’s.
Saturdays gig at The Music Room, Ipswich is a seated gig with table service only. This is to make the show as safe as possible and to limit the risk of the spread of Covid-19. Normally the band will have merchandise available at shows, however to ensure everyone’s safety the band will not be opening a merch table on the night and we will be distanced from the audience throughout.
