REHEARSALS TODAY – PREP FOR MEARFEST FLAME & FIRE DOWN UNDER TOUR

Last weeks rehearsal sessions.

Today we are having our second rehearsal following our successful tour with Chris Holmes. Last week (as seen above) we focused on rehearsing the songs we didn’t do on the tour and writing new material for a future release.

Today we head back into Unit One again for more rehearsals, we’ll be working on our set for Mearfest Flame in Nuneaton in September, and then our second tour of 2023 with Riot Act, who will be playing the entire Riot classic album Fire Down Under in full during the tour.

Tickets fore the Fire Down Under Tour are already selling well, with London already 20% sold months in advance of the show. If you wish to attend these shows, we advise you to book well in advance from here. Our last show at Three Wise Monkeys for example sold out in advance, and there were people who could not get into the venue on the night.

FINAL TOUR REHEARSALS TODAY + BAD NEWS ON TOUR SHIRTS

Today we have our final rehearsal before we tour with Chris Holmes next week. We will again be focusing on the tour set and being at our absolute best for the shows. The tour begins on Friday, at The Patriot, Crumlin in South Wales on Friday. You can still buy tickets for the tour here.

We’ve had some bad luck in the run-up to the tour. The tour shirts we had printed have been delivered to an unknown location and we are desperately trying to recover them, in order to send the pre-orders out before the tour begins on Friday and ensure we had shirts to sell on the road to help us cover the costs of touring.

We’ll know if they can be recovered at all tomorrow, if not there will be a rush on to get them reprinted and out before Thursday. This has been an absolute nightmare to deal with.

We’re back in Unit One, Colchester today to continue to prepare for our tour supporting Chris Holmes this month. Toby will be absent from the sessions as he is watching Carcass in Norwich today, which means we will be working as a trio. Tour tickets are still available from here.

FINAL REHEARSAL BEFORE COLCHESTER SHOW – LAST ESSEX SHOW BEFORE UK TOUR

We are back at Unit One Studios, Colchester for our final rehearsal before our 5-year celebration gig next week at Three Wise Monkeys, Colchester. We will be recording the set for a live album/video release with Talon Payne of Gallow Wood Media. The set will be a mixture of songs from After Extinction and Reforge The Steel. Joining us are Osmium Guillotine, Heathen Kings, and Killerkorp.

75% of the tickets for the night have been sold in advance with 45 tickets still available to purchase from here.  This gig is our final local show before we go on tour in support of W.A.S.P guitarist Chris Holmes.

KAINE CONTINUE PREPARATIONS FOR COLCHESTER GIG TODAY – 63% OF TICKETS SOLD IN ADVANCE

We are pleased to announce that we have sold 63% of the tickets for our May 19th show at Three Wise Monkeys in advance, which is over 100 tickets sold with roughly 70 still available to purchase.

We will be back in Unit One tonight to continue to build our set for the show, which will be recorded for a brand-new live album with Talon Payne of Gallow Wood Media, and an accompanying video. PREPARATIONS FOR THREE WISE MONKEYS GIG BEGIN AT UNIT ONE, COLCHESTER TONIGHT!

Kaine will be celebrating 5 years of the Reforged line-up with a special gig, and live album recording at Three Wise Monkeys, Colchester on Friday, May 19th, 2023. Joining them will be guests Osmium Guillotine, Killerkorp, and Heathen Kings.

The current incarnations of Kaine formed in May 2018, and have since released two studio albums Reforge The Steel (2019) and After Extinction (2022) as well as the Extinction After EP (2023), Kaine EP (2021), Falling Through Freedom X EP (2022), The Waystone EP (2020) and two live albums. The band has headlined Colchester Arts Centre, opened Burrfest at a sold-out Dome in Tufnell Park as well as toured the UK in support of the legendary Lillian Axe and Riot Act in 2022. Recently the band supported NWOBHM legends Trespass and Cher/Whitesnake Guitarist Joel Hoekstra alongside Brandon Gibbs of Devil City Angels and Poison fame.

This week’s rehearsals at Unit One will be purely in preparation for May 19th. The band plans on debuting some new tracks for the event, which will be recorded for a new live album by Talon Payne of Gallow Wood Studios.

TRESPASS SUPPORT GIG A HUGE SUCCESS! PREPARATIONS FOR JOEL HOEKSTRA/BRANDON GIBBS GIG TODAY AT UNIT ONE

Last nights gig supporting Trespass at the Quay Theatre, Sudbury was a huge success. We would like to thank both the Quay Theatre and Trespass for having us on, and treating us incredibly well throughout the night.

Next week we are back supporting yet more legends, this time it’s Whitesnake guitarist Joel Hoekstra and Brandon Gibbs Music (Devil City Angels) live at The Music Room – Ipswich on April 15th, 2023. The Hoekstra/Gibbs duo is considered by many to be one of the best acoustic duos performing today. Expect a high energy show with blazing guitar riffs, storytelling, incredible vocal harmonies and a song selection of music from bands they have each been a part of, originals and rock covers making this a must-see show! We are continuing to work on our sets for the forthcoming gigs/tour today. We have recently prioritised learning three of the recent EP songs to include those in future sets. Our next gig is at the Music Room, Ipswich (see details below).

The Patreon CD templates are close to being finalised and set off to the printers, as are the shirts/patches for 2022. We are sorry for the delay, which has been caused by keeping an eye on the budget as well as the band being very busy in other areas, however, they will be with you soon!

We have a big few months ahead of us, so we are focussing on getting ready for the forthcoming gigs/UK Tour. We are also working on adding our Extinction After EP songs into the sets. Our next show is in April, supporting the excellent Joel Hoekstra (Whitesnake/Cher) and Brandon Gibbs in Ipswich at the Music Room.
