Over the last few months, we have been experimenting with Google Adverts and learning how that could work as part of a marketing strategy. We have since set up an ongoing campaign alongside the video launch which has seen over 35k people watch the video, 500 clicks through to the Bandcamp (although no sales at this stage), and 100 new YouTube subscribers. So far, we have found that the reach is much more effective than Facebook/Instagram marketing, but we will continue to experiment with all forms of promotion.

It is clear that YouTube is the most popular platform for people to listen to the new album. By comparison physical sales lag way behind at just 90 CD sales, even at a reduced price, and standalone paid downloads just 65 purchases even at a reduced rate of £1.

Not only has NWOTHM Full albums been a success but all three single releases generated thousands of plays before the release of the album, with the single A Slave to The Grind being played over 10,099 times alone!
AFTER EXTINCTION NOW AT 33,193 STREAMS FOLLOWING ALBUM RELEASE
Our streams for the new album continue to grow as we have now broken over 33 thousand streams. We still do not have the full data from DistroKid, which covers many other stored but with what we do know it has been performing well so far.
