Saxon Davids joins Kaine: Band becomes 5 piece

Kaine have announced that Saxon Davids will be joining the band on guitar permanently. The announcement was made at the bands October 1st gig at the Asylum in Chelmsford where the new line-up had been unveiled. The band had previously played with this line-up on the O2 Academy, Islington show on the Britain-Ireland Tour with Mordred earlier this year and received strong reviews.

Saxon recently joined the band on tour to fill in for Anthony Murch for the Mordred tour with just two days’ notice. Davids learned the set in time to hop on the ferry to Ireland with the rest of the band (who had replaced Furyon last minute) and play the 10 following dates across Britain & Ireland.

The band will now move forward in the new 5 piece configuration of Rage Sadler on Rhythm Guitars and vocals, Dan Mailer on bass and vocals, Anthony Murch on Lead Guitar, Saxon Davids on Rhythm & Lead guitars and Chris MacKinnon on drums.

Rage said; “We are very happy to welcome Saxon to the Kaine family. Saxon did a great job with us on tour; he showed absolute professionalism in learning and performing the songs live in such a short space of time. Personality wise he was a perfect fit for the band and after the reviews we had from our London show we thought why not go there? We have a lot of layers to our songs which up until this point we couldn’t do exactly as they were on the records live due to missing the additional guitar so with Saxon joining us not only does it make us heavier, but makes all that possible too.”

Saxon commented; “I’m very happy to become a full time member of Kaine and I am looking forward to what the future holds for the band as a 5 piece metal machine! Rage approached me pretty much straight after the Islington O2 Academy gig and discussed with me the possibility of this happening which was a pleasant surprise, that tour was one of the best experiences of my life from a personal and musical perspective so to be asked to join the guys permanently is a great pleasure. I hope to do the band proud with whatever comes our way and I want to thank everyone at The Asylum on the 1st October for the very warm welcome.”
