As you will have noticed we have not played live since December 2023. This is for several reasons, first, both myself and Liam have been through surgery and are still recovering from our injuries. I have made a good recovery while Liam still has some issues, and has been through extensive rehabilitation. He may require further surgery yet, which is why we are being cautious with our return to live performances.
We also want to get away from sporadic gigs and transition to a touring model, where we play a range of places in a specific block each year. This is easier to organise and will enable us to better manage the promotion and the events. We will pick up the occasional show we want to do outside of these blocks, but generally speaking, we are aiming to evolve to this model going forward. We recognise there is a risk when hiring venues and doing the promotion ourselves, but we have had success with this on our own and we are optimistic that we can get this model to work in our favour.
In terms of the tour tickets, as many will know my father sadly passed away in March and I have been managing the funeral and the costs relating to his passing. This has meant I have not been able to afford to promote the events recently. I have had to take a loan from my workplace to afford to live over the next few months. Once I am clear financially I will start paid promotions again. In the meantime, if you have yet to buy a ticket for any of the gigs, you can grab them for just £8 from www.kainecart.co.uk. Every advance sale helps, but do not worry, we will not cancel any of these events, even if we get 0 advance sales. So far we have had over 50 advance sales for these dates and are hoping for more in the coming months.
The bulk of the Crisis EP has been recorded, I have not had the time to finish the vocals this past two months but I am currently looking at dates with the studio to get that finished. I am sorry there has been a delay in this but real-life events have put certain things behind with the band.
