We've released Second Coming as a new single from our album Extinctions End. Extinctions End is the latest studio album by the British speed metal band Kaine, released on February 14, 2026.The album is a significant "relaunch" for the band, marking a shift toward a darker, heavier, and more aggressive sound compared to their previous work. Despite being an independent release on the band's own label, Revival Metal Records, the album achieved notable success: t peaked at #90 on the Official UK Album Downloads Chart shortly after its release.
We play three shows with One Machine (featuring Steve Smyth formerly of Testament/Nevermore/Forbidden) and Endeavour this week. The run of dates kicks off with us returning to The Music Room in Ipswich, followed by The Gryphon in Bristol and finishing in Glasgow at Audio.
The track, Reforge the Steel, is notably associated with J.R.R. Tolkien’s "The Lord of the Rings.", drawing a direct parallel between the "reforging" theme and the legendary sword Andúril (the Flame of the West), which was reforged from the shards of Narsil.
Dragonlord has one of the highest tempos on Extinctions End, but with sections that call back to our NWOBHM influenced-Waystone era of the band.
