Kaine will no longer be working with RS Promotions run by Ric Stats. This follows a string of issues, going back to the band being refused admin access to event pages, denied the ability to promote events, told inaccurate attendance numbers, gig cancellations due to poor ticket sales, and no organisation in regard to gear share. The band by being disallowed from promotional activities was severely hamstrung in trying to ensure events were well attended and the end result would have had a negative impact on the gigs in any case.
Kaine recently has to turn down a number of dates offered by Ric Stats on the basis drummer Liam Etheridge is in Norway visiting his partners family. Ric Stats then bemoaned this fact on social media which would turn out to be the final straw for the band. The band will be seeking replacement dates in the coming weeks.
Kaine will be rehearsing tomorrow at Unit One Studios in Colchester. Last weeks session can be seen on the link above. Unfortunately due to poor ticket sales and a lack of demand the bands September gigs have been cancelled and no further bookings have been made for the band. Kaine will use this time to try and finish as much of the new album and EP as possible.
Kaine have booked in some last minute album recording sessions, this time with Gallow Wood Media to start working on the vocal tracking for the album following their gig cancellation today. Kaine were due to play an NWOBHM event at the Queens Hall, Nuneaton which fell through due to poor ticket sales, the second time the event has been cancelled.
Kaine will start the vocal tracking with Talon Payne of Gallow Wood Media, the band worked with Talon on their most recent EP as well as the definitive edition of Reforge The Steel, The Waystone EP and the Reforge The Steel and Kaine X live albums from 2019.
This weekends all day NWOBHM event at the Queens Hall, Nuneaton has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales. Kaine were due to play alongside Airforce (featuring Doug Sampson of Iron Maiden fame), Mythra, Sacriledge, Snatch-Back, Sulvain and WKD. Kaine will seek out an alternate activity for the forthcoming weekend.
Kaine will be dedicating this weeks rehearsals at Unit One to preparing for Switchfest. Switchfest will be taking place next Saturday at The Music Room, Ipswich starting at 2pm. You can attend the event by clicking here. The band will be preparing their set for the night, which will be the bands first gig since July 20th.
Last weekend, while drummer Liam Etheridge was away at Bloodstock, the band demoed 5 studio scratch tracks for the Patreon EP. The CD will be exclusive to Patreon members and can be ordered from here.
Kaine will begin putting together to studio scratch tracks together for their brand new EP this weekend. Patreon’s also get an exclusive t-shirt and patch with the release.
As announced this week, Kaine will be playing Switchfest on August 28th at the Music Room, Ipswich. This weeks rehearsal session will be focussed on getting the set ready for that gig alongside yet more work on the new album. You can attend Switchfest by clicking here.
As announced today by Deadsoul Promotions, Kaine will be playing Switchfest later this month. Switchfest will take place at The Music Room, Ipswich from 2pm on the 28th. You can attend the event by clicking here. The Music Room is a 450 capacity grassroots music venue in Ipswich, Suffolk that has been booking touring bands since the early 2000’s.
Kaine will continue their weekly rehearsals at Unit One Studios today in Colchester. Again the focus will be on the winging/playing element of the new album as well as the bands forthcoming gigs. This weeks sessions will be filmed for YouTube for the first time in several weeks, the filming had stopped due to Alex Odinson (who films the sessions) coming down with Covid-19.
Kaine will be focussing on the singing/playing element of the new album alongside work on lyrics and vocal melodies at Unit One today, and over the next few weeks. The bulk of the instrumentation has now been recorded for the new album so the focus will be now switched to vocals. The band is also preparing for the mixing stage as well, with more news on that coming in the following weeks.
