On Friday the vocals and backing vocals were tracked for the Extinction After EP which means the recording is now complete and the release can now be edited, mixed and mastered.
I am hopeful we can try and get back to a normal gigging routine next year, however with costs rising in the UK and with yet more tax increases announced this week, it's going to be interesting to see how bands and venues survive in 2023. It could be the toughest year yet.
We are pleased to report that Liam now feels able to return to rehearsals and we will be back in Unit One on Sunday to resume regular rehearsal sessions.
Patreon is going to become more essential to enable us to continue funding the band and we hope that offering exclusive CD releases through that platform will incentivise more people to join, especially at such a low price. If we were able to double our Patreon numbers over the coming months, we will have made significant progress. This CD will not be available anywhere else and numbers will be printed to order.
The growing trend still shows the audience moving away from physical media and paid-for downloads and towards streaming services which is in line with industry reports on music sales.
We finished the recording of the vocals last night with Talon Payne at Gallow Wood Media for the Falling Through Freedom EP. This means the EP will now be edited/mixed and mastered and released ASAP. The EP will be exclusive on CD to Patreon supporters paying £3 and up.
