VOCAL RECORDING SESSIONS BOOKED IN FOR PATRON EPS THIS MONTH

Rage will be heading over to Gallow Wood Media on Sunday (13th) to complete the recording of the Falling Through Freedom EP vocals and Unit One Studios on the 25thfor the 2021 EP. These will hopefully be the final recording sessions for both Patreon EPs.

The 2021 EP will contain 5 brand new songs not included on the recent album After Extinction and the Falling Through Freedom EP will be re-recordings of 5 songs to celebrate the release of that album 10 years ago which will include two songs, not on the original album. These will only be available on CD through Patreon. You can get both from £3 here.

NEW ARTWORK IS BEING DRAFTED FOR TWO NEW EPS!

The artwork for the two Patreon EPs is currently being drawn up by a brand-new artist. The name for the 2021 EP will be revealed once the artwork is completed, the 2022 EP is a re-recording of 5 songs to celebrate the release of our debut album Falling Through Freedom. The artwork will be a new version of the original and will also come as a t-shirt for Patreon’s.  

The 2022 £3 and up tier will include a t-shirt, a CD set that includes the new EP, the original album, the remaster, the instrumentals, and the demo album (for the first time ever).  These will NOT be released again.

FALLING THROUGH FREEDOM EP DRUMS BOOKED IN AT GALLOW WOOD MEDIA

The drums for the 2022 Falling Through Freedom EP will be recorded at the end of the month at Gallow Wood Media. The new EP will be a Patreon exclusive release and will be part of special 10 year anniversary set which includes the unreleased demos, the instrumental album, the 2012 version, the 2016 version and the new EP as well as a brand new t-shirt.

Guitar tracking for the 21′ EP

The 21’ EP has been tracked for all bar the vocals, and still requires mixing and mastering. The remaining sessions will be booked in as soon as the new album CDs are sent out, and the official artwork for the CD and track listing will be released soon after along with the title. The 2021 Patreon shirts were sent our last year, as were the patches.

The 22′ Patreon

The 22’ EP requires just the drums and vocals to be tracked and will be released together later this year as part of a ten-year anniversary set for the Falling Through Freedom album. The Set will include a brand-new t-shirt which is yet to be released.

We are very sorry about the delays; this is in part due to Covid restricting our studio time with the new album meaning we have been busy trying to finish all these releases this year.

On Saturday Rage completed the last remaining guitar tracking at Unit One studio’s meaning that the EP is now close to competition with only the vocals remaining to be tracked.

A number of mixes for our new album After Extinction are near completion with album about half way through the production process.

Both of the album and the EP have been delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Yesterday the band began writing a new song for the 6th album which you will be able to see when the studio footage is uploaded to YouTube.

REHEARSALS TODAY FOR 22′ EP AND IPSWICH SHOW ON MAY 13TH

We will be in Unit One Studio’s today to work both on the 22′ EP for Patreon and to prepare for our Ipswich show on May 13th. Uridium have had to pull out of the support slot for the Ipswich show due to singer Phil Cooke having a serious health issue. We wish Phil a speedy recovery and send our thoughts to his friends and family at this time. Replacing Uridium will be Screaming Viridian.

Last week we made good progress with two of the 22′ EP songs in rehearsals taking us up to 3 of the 5 learnt already. We rehearsed the new EP immediately after recording guitars for the 21′ EP which can be seen below.

RAGE SADLER AND TOBY WOODS TRACKING GUITARS AT UNIT ONE TODAY FOR NEW EP

We will be tracking all of the guitars for the brand new songs with Wayne Thompson at Unit One today. The EP is a Patreon exclusive CD which will be coming out later this year. Liam and Isaac finished tracking the drums and bass a few months back, which means after today all that will be left to track will be the vocals.

ISAAC HEALY COMPLETES BASS TRACKING FOR 21′ PATREON EP

Yesterday Isaac completed tracking for all 5 of the new EP songs at Unit One Studios. This means all there is remaining to record is the guitars from Toby and Rage, and the vocals to record for the EP with Liam having completed the drums last month.

We will be returning to the studio tomorrow to begin recording the bass and guitars for the Patreon 21′ EP. The recording was held up by Covid restrictions (as was the current album recording) which is why there has been a delay in finishing the EP.
