Kaine will be supporting NWOBHM flag bearers Desolation Angels at the legendary Cart & Horses (birthplace of Iron Maiden) on Saturday, July 19th, 2025. More details will be announced through Desolation Angels socials which can be found here.
Desolation Angels were formed in 1981 by guitarist Keith Sharp, releasing their demos in 1981 and 1982. The band’s self-titled debut album was released in 1986 (re-released in 2019 by Dissonance Productions), with Desolation Angels moving to America (Los Angeles, California) in 1987, releasing their follow-up album While The Flame Still Burns in 1990. The current incarnation of Desolation Angels features an all-star line-up of some of the best British and NWOBHM-era performers in Clive Pearson, Chris Takka, Paul Taylor & Richie Yeates alongside Keith Sharp.
The Cart & Horses is a legendary venue, known as the Birthplace of Iron Maiden where the band held their first residency. They have had a significant refurbishment in recent years, with many renowned acts playing the new stage, including Steve Harris himself with British Lion. Kaine also played their part in the revival of the venue many years ago when they brought Heavy Metal back to the Cart & Horses in 2017 (read here), and have since played there with bands such as Desolation Angels and Riot Act (ex-Riot) as well as headlining the stage in their own right last year.
Kaine will be playing a set of their own NWOTHM classics, taking from their albums Falling Through Freedom (2012), The Waystone (2014), A Crisis of Faith (2018), Reforge The Steel (2019), and After Extinction.
