Kaine will be returning to the studio in June to continue work on its new album, Extinctions End, at Unit One Studios in Colchester and will also be heading to Gallow Wood Media to finish working on the mix for the band’s new live album, Final Extinction. The band, however, will be taking time off from rehearsals while Liam Etheridge continues to recover from surgery on his arm (here).
Extinctions End will be the band’s follow-up to After Extinction, the first album from Kaine to break the mainstream music chart (reaching number 85 on the top 100). The album will feature songs from After Extinction (and Extinction After EP) re-recorded in a new format for the release. It was felt that, due to the chaotic nature of recording the original album during COVID lockdowns, and the chart success of the record, it would be a good time to re-release the tracks in the format the band played them on their 15th anniversary tour last year.
Final Extinction is a live album that was recorded at our final show from our 15th anniversary tour (recorded at The Waterfront, Norwich). This will be a Patreon exclusive release, which can be obtained by joining the £3 and up tiers here. This event was also filmed, so footage will also be released later this year. The live album also comes with a brand-new t-shirt.
