KAINE, REGICIDE AND URIDIUM COLCHESTER SHOW A HUGE SUCCESS

Our return show in Colchester was a huge success, with a packed crowd for the event – we bucked the trend of the usual mid-week gig tragedy! It was great to see so many people out there, supporting Metal in Colchester again. We’re optimistic we can get back to running regular shows there, should the demand continue. Three Wise Monkeys is one of Colchester’s best venues, and we really do enjoy playing there.

In many ways, the gig was a gig with three headliners, as Uridium and Regicide are both exceptional bands and two of the best bands in the sphere of Speed Metal in the British scene right now. Both bands deserve the plaudits and the major festival exposure they have been getting; it was genuinely a pleasure to share the stage with them.

It proves you can buck the trend and prove the naysayers wrong, those people telling us you can’t run this events mid-week, charge on the door during the cost of living crisis, play this type of “old” Metal anymore and no-amount of advertising will work, and that we’re wasting our time and should give it up. It’s nonsense, there is an audience for Metal and we’re going to keep working hard to promote these shows regardless of what the armchair experts tell us.

We enjoyed our set; we had a lot of fun up there and playing a hometown show again. Last night was recorded for a new live album (and video release) that will be released next year, which features the following tracks:

1. All Hail
2. Dragonlord
3. A Slave to the Grind
4. New Age Martyr
5. Extinctions End
6. The Storm Is Coming
7. Loudwire
8. Fall of Jericho
9. Heaven’s Abandonment
10. Second Coming
11. Iron Lady

This will again be produced by Talon Payne of Gallow Wood Media. We were joined by our long-time friend and Regicide bassist Josh Birch, who performed lead vocals on the song Iron Lady.

Finally, thanks to Alex for helping us with merch/loading and Charles for supporting us with tech duties and loading to help the night go a lot easier.
