KAINE PERFORMING REFORGE THE STEEL AT UNIT ONE STUDIOS

In this week’s session we run through our songs Reforge The Steel, from the album of the same name. Reforge the Steel is our fourth studio album, released in October 2019. It marked a significant turning point for the group, being the first record featuring the lineup of Rage Sadler (vocals/guitar), Liam Etheridge (drums), Toby Woods (lead guitar), and Isaac Healy (bass).

The track, Reforge the Steel, is notably associated with J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings.”, drawing a direct parallel between the “reforging” theme and the legendary sword Andúril (the Flame of the West), which was reforged from the shards of Narsil.

We continue to play with a new multi-camera set up and very rough mix. Our plan in the future is to buy three new cameras, record the vocals straight from the mixing desk, record the guitars and bass directly from DI and have some room mics for the drums which will mean the rehearsal footage and audio will be of a much higher quality. In the meantime, we are using the current set up to learn the best way to do this on a budget.
